If one wishes to influence the spiritual realm, one must make use of the sounds of the letters or their names. This method works through pronunciation or inner articulation and is traditionally associated with advanced meditative techniques.
Ten Sefirot of Nothingness
And Twenty Two Foundation Letters:
Three Mothers,
Seven Doubles,
Twelve Elementals.
The Sefer Yetzirah defines the thirty-two paths of wisdom as consisting of Ten Sefirot and Twenty Two Letters. The word Sefirah means "counting" and is distinct from the word Mispar, meaning "number." Although the Sefirot correspond to the ten digits, they are not numbers themselves but the sources from which numbers originate.
While the Sefer Yetzirah does not explicitly list the names of the Ten Sefirot, their names are known from classical Kabbalah and are derived from scripture. The Sefirot are commonly arranged in three columns and represent the structure through which spiritual energy flows into creation.
The Ten Sefirot:
1. Keter – Crown
2. Chakhmah – Wisdom
3. Binah [Daat] – Understanding [Knowledge]
4. Chesed – Love
5. Gevurah – Strength
6. Tiferet – Beauty
7. Netzach – Victory
8. Hod – Splendor
9. Yesod – Foundation
10. Malkhut – Kingship
Meditating on the 22 Hebrew letters involves focused visualization, breathwork, and contemplation of each letter's spiritual meaning, often by associating them with body parts, connecting to divine concepts, or using them in a daily sequence for spiritual growth, aiming to bring clarity and balance by integrating their energetic and symbolic power.
You can practice by focusing on a single letter's shape, sound, or meaning for a set time (like a day or week), using guided meditations, or creating your own sequence, often starting with grounding and deep breaths to prepare.
